Bangladesh Protest 2025: Sharif Osman Hadi Death Sparks Massive Protests, Arson Attacks Rock Dhaka
बांग्लादेश में 18 दिसंबर 2025 को प्रमुख youth leader और 2024 uprising के प्रमुख चेहरे Sharif Osman Hadi की मौत के बाद पूरे देश में हिंसक प्रदर्शन भड़क उठे हैं। Hadi को 12 दिसंबर को Dhaka के Bijoynagar इलाके में masked assailants ने motorcycle से गोली मार दी थी, जिसके बाद उन्हें Singapore के Singapore General Hospital airlift किया गया था, लेकिन brain damage के बावजूद वे बच नहीं सके।
Protests Escalate in Dhaka
Dhaka के Shahbagh intersection और अन्य प्रमुख सड़कों पर हजारों protesters ने सड़कों पर उतरकर Hadi की मौत का बदला लेने और killers की तुरंत arrest की मांग की। Prothom Alo और The Daily Star जैसे प्रमुख newspapers के offices में आग लगा दी गई, जहां journalists smoke और fire से घिरे बचाव की गुहार लगाते रहे। Gazipur, Sylhet और Chattogram में भी violent clashes हुए, जहां security forces ने tear gas और batons का इस्तेमाल किया।
Anti-India Sentiment Surges
प्रदर्शनकारियों ने anti-India slogans दिए और Indian High Commission तथा deputy high commissioner के residence पर हमला बोला, Sheikh Hasina की extradition की मांग करते हुए। India ने visa services suspend कर दीं और Kolkata police ने high alert जारी किया। एक Hindu man को Mymensingh में lynched और set on fire करने की घटना ने tensions और बढ़ा दी।
Yunus Government Responds
Interim leader Muhammad Yunus ने national mourning declare किया और Hadi की मौत को ‘irreparable loss’ बताया, साथ ही calm की अपील की। Police ने shooters के लिए substantial reward announce किया और army deploy की गई। February 2026 elections से पहले यह unrest political instability को और गहरा सकता है।
